Giving Back...

Indigi Productions is passionate about using Selwyns many years of success in the music industry to also give back by offering the studio and his expertise to worthy projects & causes.  One of the charities that Selwyn wholeheartedly supports is the Reach For A Dream Foundation.

In 2009 Selwyn spent a day working producing and arranging 'Song For Julie' written by singer/songwriter Verity for a young girl Lize suffering from Cystic Fibrosis. He then made the studio available for Lize and her family to come in and for Lize to experience being a 'popstar' and getting to sing her own song.

The video of the song was screened at the Reach For A Dream Annual Gala and Radio Tygerberg played the song on Lize's birthday. Because the song was about Lize's best friend her jack russle 'Julie', Animal Talk magazine featured a two page article on the project.

In 2004 Selwyn & Verity worked together on the SABC TV documentary "Our Stories, Our Voices". It was a series highlighting how the youth of South Africa were dealing with problems in their communities.

Selwyn produced and arranged the song 'Our Stories, Our Voices' for four young girls from Atlantis who were all survivers of abusive situations.

They were given the opportunity to come to Cape Town and record the song in the Indigi Studio which went on to be playlisted on Atlantis Radio.

In 2010 Selwyn once again joined forces with Verity to work on a song 'My Favourite Things' for another young girl Anle suffering from Ataxia Telangeicstasia.

Anle and her mother got to spend the day in studio with Anle and Verity singing the song together to the track that Selwyn had produced & arranged for her.

A music video of the experience was created for Anle and she got to spend a night as a star complete with a limo and professional hair and make-up for the screening of the video at The Crysal Towers Hotel.
